Garden Wildflower Meadow
Introducing Myself
A warm welcome to my website.
I’ve been married to Becky since 1991 and we have a daughter, Tabitha,
aged nine.
I have worked in the countryside for most of my career and have had the
privilege of managing the sand dune reserve, Kenfig NNR and SAC since 1996; a
truly remarkable place. For beautiful flower-rich habitats, the sand dune
nature reserve is as good as it gets with over 550 species of flowering plants
including many thousands of orchids flowering each year of 15 different
species. A paradox is that the incredibly rich plant communities have developed
on bare sand. There is a lesson here for the meadow gardener!

Grassland management at Kenfig NNR using our heavy duty flail mower with a 3 metre cutting width. A superb piece of equipment that is used to manage some of the best habitats in Europe. Here it is breaking up a thick layer of bracken leaf litter in early spring. |
